Currently a champion for global human rights, Murad was among a group of ethnic Iraqi women captured and held captive by ISIS for several months in 2014. Ethical Mentorship in Government and Non-Profit: A Tale of Light and Shadow
Through the lens of the two course texts and theories of public management, this paper explores the ethical influences of two public administrators in leadership roles – one in government and the other in non-profit. Both leaders were interviewed in April of 2025. Each cited mentorship as a key factor in the development of their moral compass, noting it has served them well in navigating past and current challenges.
